Shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) has stopped, and no explosions have been reported in Srinagar, Army sources confirmed late Saturday, easing tensions after a brief spell of unrest following Pakistan’s ceasefire violations.
According to a statement given to CNBC-TV18, Indian air defence units successfully addressed drone incursions detected over Indian airspace in the last few hours. The situation across the border remains under close watch.

This comes after multiple alerts and blackout protocols were enforced across Barmer, Jaisalmer, Udhampur, Srinagar, and parts of Punjab, with residents advised to stay indoors and avoid panic.
Earlier, Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed concern on social media over explosions heard in Srinagar, questioning the effectiveness of the ceasefire. However, Army sources have now clarified that the shelling has stopped for now and drone threats have been neutralized.
Authorities continue to monitor developments, but no active engagement is underway currently.
