The Government of Nepal has expressed deep concern over the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan in the wake of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of several civilians, including one Nepali national.
In an official press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 8, Nepal recalled its immediate and unequivocal condemnation of the barbaric terrorist attack. The statement affirmed Nepal’s unwavering stance against terrorism and reiterated its solidarity with India during this period of shared grief.
“Nepal shall not allow any inimical forces to use its soil against its neighbouring countries,” the statement added, underlining Nepal’s principled commitment to regional security.
The release also called for de-escalation and reaffirmed Nepal’s commitment to peace and stability in South Asia, urging restraint and dialogue amid growing regional unrest.
