UltraTech Cement has announced a capacity boost of 1.4 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) following successful completion of debottlenecking projects across three grinding units. The company informed exchanges on May 5 that the capacity enhancement includes 0.6 mtpa at its Nagpur unit in Maharashtra, 0.4 mtpa at Panipat, and another 0.4 mtpa at Jhajjar in Haryana.

With this, UltraTech’s total domestic grey cement manufacturing capacity now stands at 184.76 mtpa. Including its overseas operations, the company’s consolidated capacity has reached 190.16 mtpa.

The move aligns with UltraTech’s ongoing strategy to optimize operational efficiencies and strengthen its leadership in the Indian cement sector.
