Allied Blenders and Distillers (ABD), India’s third-largest spirits company by volume, has officially launched Golden Mist French Brandy in Karnataka. This introduction marks ABD’s entry into the growing prestige brandy segment, which is expanding at a rate of 13.1% in Karnataka, significantly outperforming the overall brandy category.
Golden Mist combines traditional French craftsmanship with local expertise to create a rich and smooth blend, catering to the evolving tastes of Indian consumers. The brand is part of ABD’s strategy to diversify its non-whisky premium offerings, further enhancing its portfolio with high-quality spirits.
Crafted for discerning consumers, Golden Mist is aged in French oak casks, resulting in a deep amber color and a smooth, luxurious texture. The flavor profile balances notes of grape with subtle hints of liquorice, honey, and spice, appealing to those who seek both tradition and sophistication.
A unique feature of Golden Mist is its innovative packaging. In addition to traditional glass bottles, the brand introduces the 180 ml Hippy pack, designed in an elegant gold color. This packaging, available exclusively in the prestige brandy segment, aligns with Southern India’s cultural preferences, making it a standout choice for consumers.
The brand will be available in four different pack sizes: 750 ml (₹970), 375 ml (₹485), 180 ml (₹235), and 90 ml (₹120). The Hippy pack option is available in both glass and the new, unique packaging.
