Real Madrid’s UEFA Champions League journey came to a crushing end last night as they suffered a heavy defeat to Arsenal. Following a 3-0 loss in the first leg at the Emirates, Los Blancos needed a heroic turnaround at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium but were once again outclassed by a determined Arsenal side.
Despite dominating possession for large stretches of the game, Madrid failed to break down the Gunners’ defense. Arsenal, on the other hand, were clinical on the counter and netted two more goals to seal the tie.
