Barcelona may have secured their UEFA Champions League semifinal spot, but not without a scare. Despite coming into the second leg of their quarter-final clash against Borussia Dortmund with a commanding 4-0 lead, the Catalans were given a reality check as Serhou Guirassy ran riot at the Olympic Stadium.
The Dortmund striker scored a sensational hat-trick, breathing life into what seemed like a dead tie. His goals came in quick bursts, capitalizing on defensive lapses and showcasing his predatory instincts in the box. At one point, the aggregate score stood at 4-3, and nerves were clearly visible on the Barcelona bench.
However, a late goal from Robert Lewandowski calmed the tension, ensuring the match ended 3-1 in Dortmund’s favour, but with Barcelona progressing 5-3 on aggregate.
