Mumbai Indians continued their aggressive approach in the powerplay, reaching 59/1 after 6 overs against Delhi Capitals. The highlight of the over came when Suryakumar Yadav, playing his first ball, dispatched it for a six over fine leg — his trademark whip shot — off Mukesh Kumar.

Mukesh, straying down the leg-side, offered Surya just enough room, and the stylish batter needed no second invitation to get going. The ball soared over the ropes, sending a strong signal of intent from the Mumbai middle order.

Earlier, Rohit Sharma was dismissed LBW for 18 off 12 by Vipraj Nigam, ending the opening stand at 47. Ryan Rickelton continues to anchor the innings, batting on 33 off 21 deliveries, while Suryakumar has started briskly, sitting on 6 off 3 balls.

Despite the wicket, Mumbai look in control with a run rate of 9.83 and all the momentum going into the middle overs.
