Bansal Wire Industries Ltd. (BWIL) has recently informed exchanges that the company inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Dadri. This facility, currently operating at a production capacity of 3.6 lakh metric tonnes per annum (MTPA), is set to expand to 4.2 lakh MTPA by the first half of the financial year 2025-26. The company’s infrastructure is capable of supporting up to 6 lakh MTPA, positioning it for future growth in the wire manufacturing industry.

The Dadri facility has been developed with a focus on serving high-demand sectors such as automotive, agriculture, power and transmission, construction, and general engineering. The plant has been designed to integrate large-scale production with sustainable practices, aligning with evolving environmental standards in the manufacturing sector.

Sustainability features at the facility include the use of solar energy, rainwater harvesting systems, energy-efficient equipment, and an acid-free wire cleaning process. An on-site Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) ensures responsible wastewater management, while landscaping efforts contribute to the plant’s overall environmental impact reduction.

The facility includes a dedicated research and development centre to support innovation in specialized wire products. These include Induction Tempered Wire, Oil Tempered Wire, Low Relaxation Pre-Stressed Concrete (LRPC) Wire, and Brass Coated Reinforced Wires, which are intended for use across various industries such as construction, automotive, agriculture, and power infrastructure.

In addition to its technical and environmental features, the Dadri plant is designed to align with international standards in automation, compliance, and worker safety. The facility currently holds ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certifications, with additional ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications in progress.

The new unit is also expected to contribute to local economic development by creating employment opportunities and providing skill training and infrastructure support to surrounding communities.

In the coming months, BWIL plans to expand its product offerings to include a broader range of industrial-grade wires, including Tyre Cord Wire, to meet growing domestic and export market demands across critical applications.
