Global Surfaces Limited, a leading Indian manufacturer of engineered quartz surfaces, announced that its UAE-based facility is poised to benefit significantly from the recent 104% tariffs imposed by the United States on imports from countries such as China, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand. The company’s UAE subsidiary, Global Surfaces FZE, strategically circumvents these trade barriers due to the UAE’s low reciprocal tariff of just 10%—giving the firm a substantial cost and pricing advantage in the U.S. market.

The Letter of Intent highlights that this advantage will make Global Surfaces one of the most competitively placed exporters to the U.S. as rivals struggle with increased costs. The facility is equipped with cutting-edge patented technologies and adheres to sustainable manufacturing practices, catering to demand not just from the U.S., but also Europe and MENA regions.

Chairman and Managing Director Mr. Mayank Shah noted, “As the only manufacturer of engineered quartz in the UAE, we are uniquely positioned to take advantage of the newly imposed tariffs by the USA. Our UAE facility, combined with our Indian operations, offers a cost-optimized and flexible supply chain to deliver premium products at competitive prices.”

The development comes at a time when global trade tensions are escalating, with the U.S. enforcing steep tariff hikes across key trading partners. Global Surfaces’ proactive international positioning is expected to help the company absorb increased demand and expand its market share in the United States.

Global Surfaces Limited, incorporated in 1991, operates manufacturing units in Jaipur and the UAE, exporting high-quality engineered quartz, granite, and marble slabs to the U.S., Canada, the UK, and other international markets.
