JSW Steel has reported its highest-ever quarterly consolidated crude steel production of 7.63 million tonnes for the fourth quarter of FY25, marking a 9% increase quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) and a 12% rise year-on-year (YoY), according to a press release issued by the company on April 7, 2025.
Indian operations contributed 7.40 million tonnes, up 13% YoY and 9% QoQ, including trial run production of 0.21 million tonnes. The U.S. operations in Ohio accounted for 0.23 million tonnes in Q4 FY25. Capacity utilisation at Indian operations stood at 93% during the quarter.
For the full financial year FY25, consolidated production reached 27.79 million tonnes, reflecting a 5% growth over FY24. The Indian operations produced 26.98 million tonnes, up 6% YoY.
The company also shared progress on its 5 MTPA integrated steel project at Vijayanagar, commissioned under its wholly-owned subsidiary, JSW Vijayanagar Metallics Ltd. With commissioning of key units already underway, the ramp-up is progressing, aiming to increase JSW Steel’s total domestic capacity to 34.2 MTPA, and its consolidated capacity to 35.7 MTPA including the U.S. facility.
