JSW Steel Limited has disclosed that it has paid a total of Rs 1.83 crore towards damages and interest levied by the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-II, Ballari, for the belated remittance of Provident Fund contributions during the period April 2016 to March 2019.

As per the official filing with the stock exchanges dated March 29, 2025, the order dated March 28 imposed damages of Rs 97.94 lakh and interest of Rs 85.19 lakh on the company. JSW Steel confirmed that the full amount has been remitted.

The company clarified that this development is not expected to have any material impact on its financials, operations, or other ongoing activities.

The disclosure has been made under Regulation 30 of SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations, 2015.
