Bharti Airtel has strengthened its position as the leading telecom operator in Kerala by deploying an additional 2,500 network sites across all 14 districts in the last two years. With this expansion, Airtel now operates over 11,000 sites in the state, the highest among all telecom service providers.
The expansion aims to improve network connectivity in both urban and rural areas, covering key locations such as Malappuram, Palakkad, Kasaragod, Kottayam, Pathanamthitta, Kollam, Idukki, Alleppey, Wayanad, Trivandrum, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kozhikode, and Kannur. This investment has resulted in a significant enhancement of browsing speeds, voice quality, and seamless coverage along highways, airports, ports, railway stations, and popular tourist destinations.
Airtel’s improved network infrastructure has been recognized by Opensignal, which awarded the company top rankings across multiple categories, including video experience, live video streaming, gaming, and upload speeds.
“Kerala remains a critical market for Airtel, and we are committed to delivering the best network experience. Our investments in network densification have resulted in a superior voice and data experience for customers across the state,” said Gokul J, Chief Operating Officer – Kerala, Bharti Airtel.
Airtel has also expanded its 5G services across various locations, including Kochi’s water metro stations and the scenic destinations of Varkala and Munnar, ensuring seamless high-speed connectivity for both residents and tourists.
