Bayern are now into the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 after they defeated Bayer Leverkusen by 5-0 on aggregate. The second leg which was played last night saw goals from Kane (52′) and Alphonso Davies (71′) which helped them power through to the UCL quarter-finals.
Bayern Munich have secured their place in the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 quarter-finals after a dominant 5-0 aggregate victory over Bayer Leverkusen. The Bavarians, who had already established a strong lead in the first leg, sealed their progression with a convincing 2-0 win in the second leg at the Allianz Arena last night.
After a goalless first half, Harry Kane broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute with a clinical finish, taking his tally in the competition to new heights. Alphonso Davies then doubled Bayern’s lead in the 71st minute, putting the tie beyond doubt. Leverkusen, despite their impressive domestic form, struggled to break down Bayern’s defense and failed to mount a comeback.
With this result, Bayern Munich remain on course for European glory as they await their next opponent in the quarter-finals.
