Manchester United’s 28% stake owner Jim Ratcliffe who has been allocated the role of managing the club inside out (footballing decisions) has made the public statement on the club and the new manager. The owner feels Manchester United has got a great manager Ruben Amorim and despite his poor run of form, he’ll be staying at United for long time. Earlier this season, Ten Hag was sacked and then Ratcliffe was also in the decision to make Amorim the next manager of United.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe has reaffirmed his commitment to manager Ruben Amorim, despite the club’s recent struggles. Ratcliffe, who has taken control of footballing operations at Old Trafford, believes Amorim is the right man to lead United forward.
“Ruben Amorim is outstanding, and he’ll stay at Manchester United for a long time,” Ratcliffe stated, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. “Ruben is an outstanding young manager in my view. Looking at the squad, I think he’s doing a good job, to be honest.”
Amorim, who took charge earlier this season following Erik ten Hag’s sacking, was Ratcliffe’s preferred choice to lead the club’s rebuild. The Portuguese manager was brought in with the expectation of instilling an attacking philosophy and modernizing the team’s approach.
While United’s form has been inconsistent, Ratcliffe’s strong backing suggests the club is willing to be patient with Amorim’s project.
