Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL), a Maharatna Oil Company, has partnered with Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, to introduce a co-branded Genuine Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). This high-quality DEF aims to optimize vehicle performance, improve drivetrain efficiency, and extend vehicle lifespan.
Produced in BIS-approved facilities, the co-branded DEF will be available through HPCL’s vast retail network of 23,000 fuel stations nationwide, ensuring easy access for Tata Motors customers. DEF plays a crucial role in reducing emissions in BS6-compliant diesel vehicles by breaking down nitrogen oxides into cleaner nitrogen and water, helping vehicles meet environmental norms.
HPCL’s Director of Marketing, Amit Garg, emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability and innovation in mobility, stating that the partnership will provide customers with a high-quality, eco-friendly solution. Tata Motors’ Executive Director, Girish Wagh, highlighted how the collaboration enhances accessibility to DEF while promoting compliance with environmental standards.
With a strong focus on sustainable mobility and emission reduction, HPCL and Tata Motors continue to drive innovation in the commercial vehicle sector, ensuring cleaner transportation solutions for the future.
