Diamond Power Infrastructure Ltd is proud to announce the launch of commercial production at its first rod mill for manufacturing Next Generation AL 59 Wire Rods. This cutting-edge facility, located at DICABS NextGen Special Alloys Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary in Vadodara, boasts a processing capacity of 80 MT per day (2,400 MT per month).

As part of a larger Greenfield project, DICABS is setting up three advanced rod mills with a total capacity of 250 MT per day (7,500 MT per month). This expansion, at an estimated cost of ₹55 crores, will significantly enhance the production of high-efficiency aluminum-based alloys used in power transmission.

Currently, the company operates an in-house mill with a 1,200 MT monthly capacity. With this new addition, Diamond Power’s conductor production will see substantial growth, strengthening its market position.

The demand for AL 59 conductors in India stands at approximately 1 million MT annually, yet only five manufacturers possess integrated rod mills, with a combined annual capacity of 500,000 MT. To bridge this gap, DICABS aims to produce 75,000 MT per year.

AL 59 conductors, made from Aluminium Alloy 1350, are highly efficient, durable, and lightweight, making them ideal for power transmission applications.
