India lost another crucial wicket in the Champions Trophy 2025 clash against New Zealand, as Ravindra Jadeja (16 off 20) was dismissed in the 46th over by Matt Henry, thanks to a brilliant catch by Kane Williamson at backward point.
How Jadeja got out:
- Bowler: Matt Henry
- Batter: Ravindra Jadeja
- Fielder: Kane Williamson
- Delivery: Back of length, outside off
- Shot: Cut shot
- Catch type: Diving low with his left hand at backward point
Jadeja attempted to cut the ball, but hit it in the air, allowing Williamson to dive low and take a sharp catch with his left hand. This was yet another spectacular effort from New Zealand’s fielders, who have dominated India with both the ball and in the field.
India’s Score at the time of Jadeja’s dismissal:
- 223/7 in 45.5 overs
- Hardik Pandya: 27* (29)
- Yet to bat: Mohammed Shami, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy
- Matt Henry’s Bowling: 5.5-0-33-3
With just over four overs remaining, India will look to maximize runs in the death overs, but with only three wickets in hand, much will depend on Hardik Pandya to take India to a competitive total.
