Adani Saur Urja (LA) Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), has won a significant contract for 1,250 MW energy storage capacity from Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL). The project, awarded through an e-Reverse Auction, strengthens Adani’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
The Letter of Award (LOA) was received on February 24, 2025, at 6:57 PM. Under the agreement, the Annual Fixed Cost payable is ₹76,53,226 per MW per annum (excluding taxes) for a duration of 40 years from the Commercial Operation Date (COD).
This achievement marks a major milestone in India’s renewable energy sector, reinforcing Adani’s leadership in pumped hydro storage projects.
In the meantime, yesterday, Adani Green Energy strengthened its renewable energy footprint by operationalising a 67 MW solar power project at Khavda, Gujarat. Developed by its subsidiary, Adani Green Energy Twenty Six B Limited, this project marks another milestone in AGEL’s commitment to sustainable energy.
