Sterling Holiday Resorts, a wholly owned subsidiary of Thomas Cook (India) Limited, has marked a major milestone by launching its 59th resort, Sterling Rudraksh Jaisalmer, in Rajasthan. With this addition, the company now operates in 50 destinations across India, strengthening its position as a leading hospitality brand. Jaisalmer, renowned as the “Golden City,” now houses Sterling’s ninth resort in Rajasthan.
The newly launched Sterling Rudraksh Jaisalmer is strategically positioned along the highway leading to the Indo-Pak border. Spread across 2.5 acres, the resort is designed with golden-yellow sandstone, reflecting the traditional architecture of Jaisalmer. It provides an immersive experience, blending Rajasthan’s cultural heritage with modern luxury. Guests can enjoy breathtaking desert views, elegantly designed rooms and suites with private sit-outs, and a range of experiences, including camel safaris, cultural performances, and desert barbecues.
The resort boasts signature dining experiences, including RockSalt, a resto-bar serving authentic Rajasthani dishes such as Laal Maas, Ker Sangri, and Dal Baati Churma, and Ripples, a poolside café offering gourmet snacks and beverages.
Vikram Lalvani, Managing Director & CEO of Sterling Holiday Resorts, highlighted that the launch of Sterling Rudraksh Jaisalmer is a step towards creating a seamless travel circuit across Rajasthan. With existing properties in Mount Abu, Udaipur, and Jawai, the company is looking to strengthen its presence in the state by offering curated travel experiences.
Additionally, Surath Banerjee, Managing Director of ADB Hospitality, emphasized the resort’s role in promoting “Border Tourism”, an emerging trend that attracts global travelers seeking unique desert experiences. With its rich architectural heritage, Sterling Rudraksh Jaisalmer is expected to contribute significantly to the hospitality industry in Rajasthan.
