Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), in consortium with M/s HFCL Limited and Aerial Telecom Solutions Pvt. Ltd., has successfully signed the Project Implementation Agency (PIA) Agreement with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) on February 20, 2025. This agreement covers Package-6 of UP (West) and Package-3 of UP (East) under the BSNL tender.
In the exchange filing, the company shared, “Rail Vikas Nigam Limited in Consortium with M/s HFCL Limited & Aerial Telecom Solutions Pvt. Ltd. has signed Project Implementation Agency (PIA) Agreement with M/s Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) on 20.02.2025.”
In the meantime, on February 10, the company was awarded a major Rs 303.76 crore contract by South Western Railway to implement the KAVACH automatic train protection system. This project highlights RVNL’s role in modernizing India’s rail infrastructure and enhancing passenger safety. The contract includes the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the KAVACH system, along with upgrades to signaling and telecommunication systems. KAVACH, a cutting-edge safety technology, aims to reduce accidents by enabling automatic train stoppages, minimizing human error risks.
