RailTel Corporation of India saw its shares jump 3% after bagging three major contracts worth over ₹220 crore, further cementing its position as a leading ICT provider. As of 9:18AM, the shares were trading 2.86% higher at Rs 419.05.
The most significant contract, valued at ₹100.32 crore, is from a defense PSU for setting up a state-of-the-art Data Center (DC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) Center. The project, expected to go live within four months and be maintained for six years, has a completion deadline of May 30, 2025.
In another strategic win, RailTel secured a ₹104.15 crore contract from Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MSPGCL) to revamp its IT infrastructure. This large-scale IT Network Restructuring project will upgrade systems across nine power plants and three offices, with completion targeted for January 30, 2030.
Additionally, RailTel has been awarded a ₹15.98 crore contract by the Department of Education Samagra Shiksha to set up Robotics, Drone, and Atal Tinkering Labs in 160 government schools across Himachal Pradesh. This initiative, under the STARS program, is scheduled for completion by November 30, 2025.
