Triumph Motorcycles has introduced the 2025 Speed Twin 1200 and Speed Twin 1200 RS in India. These versions, valued at Rs 12.75 lakh and Rs 15.50 lakh (ex-showroom), have been modified with new components and a tuned engine while preserving their classic look. Let’s take a look at its features

Design

The circular headlight, bench seat and slim tail lights are all part of the 2025 Speed Twin 1200’s timeless design. The classic style is updated with a new LCD unit borrowed from the Trident 660 and an updated fuel tank. One of the other upgrades is a USB-C charging  port. Carnival Red/Sapphire Black, Crystal White/Sapphire Black, and Aluminum Silver are the three color options for the Speed Twin 1200. The RS version’s Sapphire Black and Sapphire Black/Baja Orange liveries give it a more premium appearance.

Suspension and Braking

The Speed Twin 1200 has a 43 mm upside-down fork layout as well as dual Marzocchi shock absorbers with piggyback reservoirs. The RS model features a fully adjustable 43 mm USD fork and Ohlins rear shocks that can be adjusted for preload, compression, and rebound. Braking is performed by 320 mm dual discs in the front with 4-piston calipers and a single disc in the back.

Engine

The 1200 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that powers both motorcycles has an increased redline of 8,000 rpm. The upgraded engine produces 112 Nm of torque and 103.56 horsepower. The RS version of the Speed Twin 1200 includes a bi-directional quickshifter for more seamless gear changes, while the standard model has a slipper clutch. Six-speed gearboxes are used in both variants.
