Ducati has teased the highly anticipated DesertX Discovery ahead of its launch in India. Positioned between the standard DesertX and the Rally version, this adventure bike promises enhanced versatility and off-road capabilities. Expected to be priced around ₹21 lakh (ex-showroom), the Discovery aims to capture the hearts of touring enthusiasts.
The standout feature of the DesertX Discovery is its new black and Ducati Red color scheme with updated decals that can be easily replaced after a fall. Designed for durability and customization, this model comes with several factory-installed options to meet diverse riding needs.
Key touring enhancements include a touring windscreen to reduce rider fatigue, aluminium cases for extra storage, and a subframe to support long rides. The motorcycle also features heated grips for improved comfort during winter expeditions.
Safety and durability are a priority, with features like a bull bar protecting the fuel tank and water pump, a bash plate shielding the engine, and a radiator guard to prevent damage from debris. A center stand makes parking and puncture repairs convenient.
The DesertX Discovery is powered by a 937 cc Testastretta engine, delivering 108 bhp at 9,250 rpm and 92 Nm torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring Ducati Quick Shift and a slipper clutch for smooth transitions. With a service interval of 15,000 km or 24 months, the bike ensures peace of mind for its owners. Additionally, it offers turn-by-turn navigation valid for five years, enhancing its touring capability.
