Honda has unveiled the Activa e at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, priced at ₹1,17,000 (ex-showroom). Pre-bookings for the electric scooter have been open at select dealerships in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai, with deliveries scheduled to begin in February 2025.

The Honda Activa e is powered by a 6 kW (8 bhp) PMS motor, delivering 22 Nm of peak torque. Its dual 1.5 kWh battery packs offer an IDC-certified range of 102 km per charge. Designed for convenience, the scooter features battery-swapping technology, with Honda planning to set up 250 swap stations in Bengaluru by 2026, ensuring a station every 5 km. Customers can opt for a Battery-as-a-Service option for added flexibility.

The Activa e boasts a modern TFT digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, offering features like music controls, call/SMS alerts, and navigation. Riders can choose between three modes: Standard, Sport, and ECON, with the last mode prioritizing maximum range.

Honda’s Activa e will compete with the likes of Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, Ather Rizta, Vida V2, River Indie, and Ola S1. While the battery-swapping infrastructure is still developing in India, Honda’s expansive plans may give it an edge in urban markets.
