At the Auto Expo 2025, Tata Motors showcased the much-anticipated Harrier EV, a fully electric version of its popular SUV. Based on a modified version of the existing internal combustion engine (ICE) platform, the Harrier EV maintains the familiar design of its ICE counterpart but with distinctive updates.

Tata Harrier EV Features

The SUV features redesigned front and rear bumpers with EV-specific details, a sleek grille, and new aero-optimised dual-tone alloy wheels. ‘.EV’ badging on the doors and tailgate emphasizes its electric nature. The show car, finished in a matte black Stealth Edition paint, caught everyone’s attention.

Inside, the Harrier EV mirrors the features of the diesel version but adds advanced technology for an upgraded driving experience. A large 12.3-inch touchscreen takes center stage on the dashboard, accompanied by a touch-based HVAC control panel. The SUV also boasts features like Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging, connected car technology, over-the-air updates, and cloud-connected telematics.

Built on Tata’s Gen 2 acti.ev architecture, the Harrier EV offers all-wheel drive with one motor on each axle, a first for Tata in several years. This allows for enhanced traction and performance. The electric SUV also comes equipped with multiple terrain modes, ensuring a versatile driving experience.
