Sheldon Cottrell is a Jamaican international cricketer who plays for West Indies cricket team. Sheldon is a left-arm fast medium bowler and a right-handed batsman.

West Indies fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell made his Indian Premier League debut for Kings XI Punjab against Delhi Capitals during the second game of the 13th edition of the tournament.

Cottrell was bought for a INR 18.5 crore by Kings XI Punjab, led by new captain KL Rahul.

Cottrell, known for his mark during the 2019 World Cup in England, by picking 12 wickets. In his debut match, Cottrell conceded 24 runs in his span of four overs. He scalped wickets of bowler Axar Patel and experienced spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.

The 30-year-old pacer also made himself by becoming first batsman No 11 in the history of ODI to finish a chase with a six. In the inaugural Global Canada T20 tournament Sheldon was the leading wicket-taker with sixteen dismissals in eight matches.

Sheldon Cottrell made his IPL debut on 20th September, at Dubai International Cricket Stadium against Delhi Capitals (DC). Sheldon, on his IPL debut took two wickets.
