Hero MotoCorp, a prominent player in the two-wheeler market, is gearing up to expand its electric vehicle (EV) portfolio. With the growing demand for electric two-wheelers, the company plans to introduce a mass-market electric motorcycle.

As per reports, a key highlight of this expansion is the anticipated Hero Splendor Electric, slated for a 2027 launch. The motorcycle, internally codenamed AEDA, is expected to revolutionize the electric motorcycle segment, aligning with Hero’s vision for sustainability and innovation.

Currently, Hero’s electric offerings include the Vida electric scooters, but the company is now focusing on developing a diverse range of electric vehicles. Reports indicate that Hero MotoCorp is working on a total of six new electric models, with the Splendor Electric being the most significant and ambitious project. Developed at Hero’s technology center in Jaipur, the Splendor Electric aims to cater to mass-market consumers, ensuring affordable electric mobility for a wider audience.

In addition to the Splendor Electric, Hero is also preparing to launch other electric two-wheelers. Among these is the Lynx electric dirt bike, set to debut in 2026. The Lynx is aimed at developed international markets, with an expected production volume of around 10,000 units per year. Furthermore, Hero is also exploring the youth market with the Acro learner electric dirt bike for kids, recently patented in India.
