Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) achieved an operational milestone in December 2024 by handling 38.4 million metric tonnes (MMT) of cargo, marking an 8% year-on-year (YoY) increase. This growth was led by robust performances in container handling, which rose by 22% YoY, and liquids and gas, which recorded a 7% YoY growth.

For the year-to-date period ending December 2024, APSEZ handled a total of 332.4 MMT of cargo, reflecting a 7% YoY growth. This performance was bolstered by a 19% YoY rise in container volumes and an 8% YoY increase in liquids and gas.

Adani Ports’ logistics operations also saw significant growth during this period. The company’s rail volumes reached 0.48 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), growing 9% YoY. Additionally, the GPWIS (General Purpose Wagon Investment Scheme) volumes stood at 16.1 MMT, up 13% YoY.

The company continues to consolidate its position as a key player in India’s logistics and cargo handling sector, showcasing resilience and adaptability amidst a dynamic market environment.
