Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) wrapped up 2024 on a high note, achieving a 20% growth in total sales with 1.32 lakh units sold, up from 1.10 lakh units in 2023.

Domestic Sales

In 2024, HCIL’s domestic sales fell by 18.5%, with 68,650 units sold compared to 84,289 in 2023. The Indian passenger vehicle market experienced slow growth, with uneven demand across segments. However, December 2024 provided a silver lining as domestic sales reached 5,603 units, a 35% increase from 4,153 units in December 2023.

Exports Sales

Exports reached an all-time high of 63,221 units in 2024, marking a 145% surge from 25,854 units in 2023. The Honda Elevate SUV, launched in 2023, played a pivotal role in driving demand internationally. December 2024 exports grew 2.8% year-on-year, reaching 3,857 units.

  • Total Sales: 1,31,871 units (2024) vs. 1,10,143 units (2023) — 20% growth
