Dr. Manmohan Singh, former Indian Prime Minister passed away on Thursday evening at the age of 91. He was admitted to AIIMS, New Delhi, after his health deteriorated.

The man, who is regarded as the architect behind the idea of liberalizing Indian economy, rests in peace. Several leaders from political world as well as business and entertainment sector have mourned the passing of  renowned economist.

Now, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has offered his condolences on the demise of the former PM. The senior politician took his X handle, and wrote, “Undoubtedly, history shall judge you kindly, Dr. Manmohan Singh ji!”

The official X handle of Indian National Congress [INC] has also posted a tweet in honor of the renowned economist.

Congress leader and opposition leader Rahul Gandhi took to his X handle, formerly known as Twitter, to pay tribute to his “mentor and guide.”

Gandhi wrote, “Manmohan Singh Ji led India with immense wisdom and integrity. His humility and deep understanding of economics inspired the nation. My heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Kaur and the family.”
