Hyundai recently showcased its flagship electric SUV, the Ioniq 9, at the LA Auto Show 2024, marking a significant milestone for the brand’s electric vehicle lineup.  Set to be the largest electric SUV in Hyundai’s portfolio, the Ioniq 9 will soon make its India debut at the Bharat Mobility Show in New Delhi on January 17, 2025, as reported by Autocar India.

The Ioniq 9 is Hyundai’s  largest electric SUV, measuring 5,060mm in length, 45mm larger than even the Kia EV9. Its angular, modern design includes distinctive Parametric pixel lights, also seen on the Ioniq 5. Standard 19-inch wheels are available, with optional 20- or 21-inch upgrades. Hyundai offers a wide range of customization with 16 exterior and seven interior color options.

The Ioniq 9 offers a versatile 6- or 7-seater layout, featuring massaging front seats and a second row that swivels to face the third row when stationary. Inside, a panoramic sunroof, dual 12-inch curved screens, ambient lighting, and roof-mounted AC vents enhance comfort. It also includes a robust safety package with 10 airbags, ADAS, and multiple sensors.

Powering the Ioniq 9 is a 110.3 kWh battery, providing a WLTP range of up to 620km. The vehicle supports 400V and 800V charging with a rapid 10-80% charge in just 24 minutes. The Ioniq 9 comes in Long Range (LR) and Performance trims, with both FWD and AWD configurations. The Performance variant delivers enhanced power for an exhilarating driving experience.
