Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad will both be playing their second game of the season against each other and both these teams are the only remaining camps yet to register a win in this season’s IPL. That is one stat which is surely to change tonight as one team will definitely come out on top over the other.
KKR seem to have bigger issues in their squad as they lost by 49 runs against Mumbai Indians in their first game. Young pacer Shivam Mavi and Sunil Narine were the only positives with the ball in hand, whereas in batting there were no positives at all apart from a cameo by Pat Cummins at the very end of the game.

SRH would not have been really pleased with their performance either, however an argument can be made that their defeat against RCB could have been avoided if all-rounder Mitchell Marsh would have not been injured. They do have the experienced Mohammad Nabi to step in for Marsh and that would be a very key factor in SRH’s performance against KKR.

KKR played their first game at the same pitch in Abu Dhabi which does provide them with an advantage, however SRH might have a bit too much of quality in their squad for the Knight Riders to handle, who to be fair look really poor in the overall balance of their team.
Important Stats:
- Warner made 152 runs, including two half-centuries, at a strike rate of 167.03 in his last two knocks against the Knight Riders.
- The Knight Riders are the only team to have scored at over 11 an over at the death since the start of IPL 2019. In comparison, the Sunrisers are the slowest scoring unit at 9.4 during the same period.
- The Sunrisers are the only opponents against whom Russell has a modest record. He averages less than 15.
- Kuldeep Yadav was taking a wicket every 18 balls until 2018. Since the last IPL, he’s managed just four wickets in ten innings, averaging a wicket every 55 balls.
