KL Rahul became the first player of IPL 2020 to hit a century. He hit 100 runs in just 62 balls. He achieved the feat in the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore who came form their first match win against Hyderabad. KL played a captains knock and stood in the middle from the beginning.

Virat Kohli who is one of the best fielders dropped KL Rahul twice. He was in his 80’s when he was dropped by the RCB skipper. By scoring 132 runs and remaining not out he also set another record and became the highest score by any Indian in the IPL. This is also the highest score by any captain in this league.
His innings constituted of 14 fours and 7 sixes. The Kings XI Punjab set up a total of 206 for the Challengers to chase. The match saw Chahal becoming the purple cap holder and KL received the orange cap for the maximum runs in the league so far.
