Kia is gearing up to launch the second generation of its popular Seltos SUV in India by the second half of 2025. The first-generation Seltos became a game-changer for the South Korean carmaker, winning hearts in the subcompact SUV segment. The new model promises to raise the bar with significant updates.

A recent spy video from India reveals a refreshed rear design, with long tail lamps inspired by the Kia EV5, blending traditional ICE looks with modern electric vehicle influences. The tail lamps stretch from the rear windows to the bumper, offering a sleek new aesthetic. While the overall shape of the SUV is expected to remain similar, the second-gen Seltos may be slightly longer, providing more cabin and cargo space. The new alloy wheel design adds to its contemporary look.

At the front, expect squared LED headlights and distinct LED DRLs, further elevating its aggressive yet premium styling. The cabin will continue to impress with high-quality materials and an enhanced feature list, maintaining its reputation for a top-notch interior.

Under the hood, the second-gen Seltos is likely to feature a 1.6-liter hybrid petrol engine (141 bhp), alongside the existing 158 bhp turbo petrol and 114 bhp diesel engine options. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed clutchless manual, 6-speed torque converter, CVT, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
