Sterling Tools Limited, a prominent player in the automotive fasteners and components manufacturing sector, has announced a strategic Technical Collaboration Agreement with Zhejiang Meishuo Electric Technology Co., Ltd., based in China. The agreement, finalized on December 2, 2024, focuses on the local manufacturing of latching relays for power transmission solutions in India. This collaboration aligns with India’s commitment to self-reliance and domestic manufacturing under the “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiatives.
As part of the agreement, Zhejiang Meishuo Electric Technology Co., Ltd. will provide technical expertise to Sterling Tools’ wholly owned subsidiary, Sterling Tech-Mobility Limited, for the production of latching relays. These relays are essential for various applications, including energy power grids, industrial grids, and consumer appliances. The partnership is poised to enhance India’s capabilities in the energy sector, support import substitution, and contribute to the country’s energy infrastructure development.
