The match not only secured the team’s first three points in the group stage but also offered the Portuguese manager a dream start to his tenure.

The Red Devils showed attacking intent from the outset, buoyed by the passionate support of a sold-out Old Trafford. United took an early lead through Alejandro Garnacho, who converted a precise shot in the 1st minute. However, Bodø/Glimt, known for their resilience, struck back with a well-executed goal to level the score before halftime. They also scored second one and United were trailing by 2-1. Hojlund equalised the score before the half-time whistle.

In the second half, Amorim’s tactical adjustments became evident. United pressed higher and regained the lead through Rasmus Højlund.
