Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) added experienced Indian all-rounder Krunal Pandya to their squad for INR 5.75 crore during the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. With a base price of INR 2 crore, Krunal was in high demand, with Rajasthan Royals giving RCB a tough fight in the bidding war.

Krunal, a seasoned IPL player, has consistently delivered with both bat and ball. After joining Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the IPL 2022 auction for INR 8.25 crore, Krunal scored 504 runs and claimed 25 wickets across 43 matches for the franchise. His ability to maintain an impressive economy rate of around 7 in the middle overs makes him a valuable asset in T20 cricket.

Despite a modest IPL 2024 season where he managed only six wickets, Krunal’s economy rate of 7 stood out in a tournament characterized by high-scoring matches. His ability to control the flow of runs in the middle overs, combined with his finishing capabilities with the bat, will bring much-needed balance to RCB’s lineup.

RCB fans will look forward to seeing Krunal’s impact as the team aims to secure its maiden IPL title in 2025.
