Royal Enfield has introduced the Scram 440 at Motoverse 2024, a significant upgrade over the Scram 411. Scheduled for launch in 2025, the Scram 440 boasts a revamped engine, new features, and fresh aesthetics while retaining its rugged appeal.
Design and Features
The Scram 440 retains much of the styling of its predecessor, such as the sculpted fuel tank, single-piece seat, and signature wraparound headlamp panel. Updates include LED lighting for the headlamp and taillamp, alloy wheels on the Force variant, and five new color schemes: Force Blue, Force Grey, Force Teal, Trail Green, and Trail Blue. A center stand now comes as standard, and the dimensions see slight adjustments, with a 5 mm increase in length and wheelbase.
Engine and Performance
At the heart of the Scram 440 is a revised 443 cc single-cylinder, long-stroke engine, upgraded from the 411 cc unit. This engine delivers 25.4 bhp at 6250 rpm and 34 Nm at 4000 rpm, offering a modest boost in power and torque. A new six-speed gearbox replaces the previous five-speed unit, promising smoother performance.
Variants and Availability
The Scram 440 will be available in two variants: Force and Trail, catering to different riding preferences. With its enhanced engine, improved features, and stylish updates, the Scram 440 is set to solidify its position in the adventure motorcycle segment when it hits the market in 2025.
