Praj Industries, a leading player in bioenergy and sustainable solutions, has announced ambitious plans to triple its revenues to ₹10,000 crore by 2030. The company aims to leverage opportunities in emerging sectors such as sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), biopolymers, and energy transition and climate actions (ETCA). The announcement was made during a press conference in Pune by Dr. Pramod Chaudhari, Executive Chairman, alongside senior executives.

Dr. Chaudhari highlighted the global growth potential in the ETCA sector, which includes segments like blue and green hydrogen, green ammonia, and waste-to-energy solutions. He noted that global energy majors are expected to invest nearly ₹25 lakh crore in the clean energy sector by 2030, with another ₹21 lakh crore anticipated in traditional oil and gas markets over the next decade.

To cater to the growing demand for modularization solutions in these sectors, Praj has established a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Mangalore, Karnataka. The facility, built with an investment of ₹400 crore over 123 acres, is expected to generate annual revenues of ₹2,000-2,500 crore at optimum capacity.

Ghanshyam Deshpande, President of Technology, emphasized the significance of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). “India has set blending targets of 1% by 2027 and 2% by 2028, while the EU and USA have set higher goals of 6% and 10%, respectively. Praj played a pivotal role in India’s first commercial passenger flight powered by SAF, which flew successfully from Pune to New Delhi,” he added.

Atul Mulay, President of Bioenergy Business, shared that Praj’s current revenue stands at ₹3,400 crore, with exports contributing 29%. “By 2030, we aim to increase export contributions to 50% as we expand globally,” he stated.

With a robust focus on innovation, clean energy, and modular solutions, Praj Industries is well-positioned to lead India’s green energy transition while achieving its ambitious growth goals.
