The Adani Group has strongly denied allegations made by the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) against directors of Adani Green Energy Limited, terming them as “baseless and denied.”
In an official media statement issued on November 21, 2024, the Adani Group highlighted that even the DOJ acknowledges that “charges in the indictment are allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.” The group emphasized its commitment to seeking all possible legal recourse in response to the charges.
The conglomerate reiterated its unwavering dedication to maintaining high standards of governance, transparency, and regulatory compliance across all jurisdictions of its operations. Assuring its stakeholders, partners, and employees, the statement added, “We are a law-abiding organization, fully compliant with all laws.”
