The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, the first-ever electric vehicle (EV) from India’s largest carmaker, has been spied testing on Indian roads, raising excitement among auto enthusiasts. Initially showcased as the eVX concept at the 2023 Auto Expo, this groundbreaking EV made its global debut in production form in 2024 in Italy. Set to revolutionize the Indian EV market, the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is scheduled for an official launch during the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo.

In terms of dimensions, the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara stands 4,275 mm long, 1,800 mm wide, and 1,635 mm tall, with a substantial 2,700 mm wheelbase. This EV boasts a ground clearance of 180 mm, making it well-suited for diverse terrains, while its 5.2-meter turning radius ensures nimble handling in urban settings. Depending on the variant, it will ride on either 18-inch or 19-inch alloy wheels, enhancing both aesthetics and performance.
In terms of appearance, while the eVX concept had a futuristic vibe, the production version of the electric car seems more conventional while preserving some EV-specific elements. The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara has hefty wheel arches and heavy cladding all around, giving it a boxy appearance. Instead of the split setup that is quite common in newer cars, it has Y-shaped LED DRLs housed with headlights as a single unit. On the other hand, LED tail lights are connected to the back.
