Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has posted robust financial performance for the second quarter of FY25, with significant sequential growth in both revenue and profitability. The company reported a standalone revenue from operations of Rs 33,880.88 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2024, reflecting a 7.4% increase compared to Rs 35,266.38 crore in Q1FY25. The total income for the quarter stood at Rs 38,646.52 crore, up from Rs 37,327.27 crore in the previous quarter.

In terms of profitability, ONGC recorded a profit before tax of Rs 15,036 crore, marking a notable 25.7% increase from Rs 11,956.12 crore in Q1FY25. The profit for the period surged to Rs 11,984.02 crore, a 34% rise over Rs 8,938.10 crore reported in the preceding quarter. The company’s net profit margin improved to 35.37%, compared to 23.94% in Q1FY25, showcasing its operational efficiency and resilience amidst market conditions.

The comprehensive income for the quarter also saw a substantial increase, reaching Rs 14,438.42 crore, up from Rs 9,617.91 crore in Q1FY25.
