INOX India Ltd, a leader in cryogenic technology, announced on Monday, November 11, that it has secured a significant order to design, engineer, and supply a mini liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal for a power plant project in The Bahamas. This order, awarded by Island Power Producers Ltd. (IPP), is the largest in the company’s history.
Project Highlights
- Scope: The project involves INOX India’s supply of ten 1,500 cubic meter vacuum-insulated cryogenic storage tanks along with a regasification system.
 - Location: Arawak Cay, near Nassau Cruise Port, Bahamas.
 - Purpose: To support IPP’s 60 MW combined-cycle power plant, which will provide sustainable shore power for cruise ships.

- Storage Capacity: The facility will hold a total LNG storage capacity of 15,000 cubic meters, making it the largest installation of shop-built, double-walled vacuum-insulated cryogenic tanks globally.
