Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a major player in IT services, has signed a multi-year agreement with Air France-KLM to support the airline group’s transition to a cloud-native, data-driven model. Building on a partnership that spans three decades, TCS will help Air France-KLM shift its data infrastructure to the cloud, aiming to strengthen the airline’s operational efficiency and sustainability.

Over the next three years, TCS will work closely with Air France-KLM to modernize its data by moving it away from physical data centers and adopting advanced cloud technologies. This transformation will enable Air France-KLM to use data more effectively across various operational areas, including flight operations, passenger services, aircraft maintenance, and e-commerce. The updated data architecture is expected to improve decision-making, streamline operations, and enhance functionality across the airline’s business.

Pierre-Olivier Bandet, EVP and Group CIO of Air France-KLM, emphasized the airline’s goal to lead European air transport and advance sustainable aviation. He highlighted that this new phase with TCS will allow Air France-KLM to become more data-centric, agile, and responsive to customer needs.

TCS has been collaborating with Air France-KLM for 30 years, contributing to enhancements in customer service, e-commerce, and digital innovations such as mobile apps and airport lounge digital queuing. This long-standing partnership now moves into a new chapter focused on cloud migration and advanced data management, reinforcing TCS’s role in Air France-KLM’s journey toward modernized technology and improved service.
