Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a leading infrastructure development company in the railway sector, has secured a significant contract from the East Central Railway, valued at approximately ₹180.1 crore. This project involves the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 2x25KV feeder line along with 25KV Overhead Equipment (OHE) modification works. The aim of the project is to enhance the railway’s loading capacity, specifically targeting a 3,000 MT loading benchmark for both UP and DN lines on the Garwa Road-Mahadiya section within the Dhanbad Division.
The scope of work under this contract includes advanced engineering and construction activities, reinforcing RVNL’s expertise in executing complex railway electrification projects. The project will cover a total distance of 229/458 RKM/TKM, and it is scheduled to be completed within an 18-month period.
This contract further strengthens RVNL’s growing portfolio of strategic infrastructure projects with Indian Railways and underscores its commitment to supporting the nation’s railway expansion and electrification goals.
