Royal Enfield has officially launched the new Interceptor Bear 650 in India, priced at ₹3.39 lakh (ex-showroom). This scrambler-styled motorcycle, inspired by the classic scramblers of the 1960s and ‘70s, is based on the popular RE Interceptor 650 platform.

The Interceptor Bear 650 stands out with its new paint scheme, scrambler-style seat, and minimalist side panel number boards. It also boasts modern upgrades like all-LED lighting and dual-purpose MRF Nylorex tyres on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoked wheels.

Enhanced for rugged terrains, the bike is equipped with 43 mm Showa USD forks offering 130 mm travel at the front, while the rear gets twin shock absorbers with 115 mm of travel. This model also has a ground clearance of 184 mm and an increased seat height of 830 mm, the highest among RE 650 models.

The well-known 648 cc parallel-twin engine, which is tuned for 47 horsepower at 7,150 rpm and 57 Nm of peak torque at 5,150 rpm—5 Nm more than the INT 650—will power the INT Bear 650. It will be paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Additionally, a new two-in-one exhaust system is added to the bike to assist reduce weight. With a kerb weight of 216 kg, the Bear 650 is 2 kg less than the Interceptor.
