JSW Steel has reported its Q2 FY25 results, showing a mixed performance:
- Revenue from operations for the quarter ended September 30, 2024, stood at ₹39,104 crore, compared to ₹43,834 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, reflecting a year-on-year decline.
- Net profit for the quarter dropped significantly to ₹404 crore, compared to ₹2,773 crore in the same period last year, indicating a substantial reduction in profitability.
For the six months ended September 30, 2024, JSW Steel reported revenue of ₹81,441 crore, down from ₹85,605 crore in the previous year. The net profit for the half-year period also saw a significant drop to ₹1,271 crore, compared to ₹5,201 crore for the same period last year.
The decline in profit can be attributed to higher input costs and operational challenges, which have impacted the company’s bottom line despite the strong revenue figures.
