On Thursday, ISRO announced that its EOS-06 and INSAT-3DR satellites have been tracking Cyclone Dana since October 20, providing crucial real-time data to support disaster management efforts.
ISRO shared the update via a post on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), stating, “Cyclonic Storm ‘DANA’ is approaching the coasts of Odisha and West Bengal. ISRO’s EOS-06 and INSAT-3DR satellites have been tracking the storm since October 20, providing real-time data to aid disaster management efforts.”
As Cyclone Dana nears landfall, authorities are on high alert, with evacuation and preparedness measures underway to mitigate the storm’s impact on coastal areas.
