In just 28 months since the launch, Volkswagen India’s C-Segment sedan, the Virtus, has sold 50,000 units, marking a major sales milestone. With more than 17,000 units sold this year alone, Virtus has established itself as India’s best-selling car for 2024 due to this outstanding achievement.

The Virtus, built on the innovative MQB-A0-IN architecture, alongside its sibling, the Taigun, has contributed to Volkswagen’s India 2.0 initiative, which collectively surpassed the 100,000 sales mark in the domestic market during the second quarter of this year.

By the end of the third quarter of 2024, Volkswagen’s total domestic wholesale numbers had surpassed 650,000 units, with India 2.0 models accounting for approximately 18.5% of these sales in over three years since Taigun’s market release.
