The newly launched Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is scheduled to arrive in India in the second half of next year, as per Autocar India. Last year, this latest generation SUV made its debut worldwide and is now being gradually released in other markets.

In some markets, the Land Cruiser Prado is also sold as the Land Cruiser 250. In regions like North America and the UK, it serves as Toyota’s flagship vehicle. Like the Australian and Middle Eastern markets, India also receives the Land Cruiser 300, therefore the SUV there will probably carry the the Land Cruiser Prado name.

The new Land Cruiser Prado comes with a wheelbase of 2,850mm and is 4,920mm in length and 1,870mm in height. The vehicle has more space and is somewhat bigger than its predecessor. Its cabin is entirely transformed with more technology and functionality. The SUV’s physical controls are large and it shares many switchgear with the Land Cruiser 300. A wraparound digital display with a cutting-edge infotainment system, plush leather upholstery and multi-zone temperature control are all included.

The allnew Toyota Land Cruiser Prado will help Toyota compete with the Land Rover Defender, which is its main rival in most global markets.
